The John Taylor Sr. that patented land in Ohio twp. moved south to Jackson County, and was living in Salt Creek Twp. with his family by 1860.

John Taylor Sr. was the son of Frazier Taylor and Rebecca Sprague of early Belmont County, Ohio.

I have not traced the property but most likely John sold the Ohio Twp. Bartholomew County land to one of his cousins that lived in that area.

Samuel Leatherman Sprague was his cousin, later (1864) his older brother James S. Taylor lived in Ohio Twp. also a cousin from Jefferson County, Ohio by the name of Cornelius Taylor.
