I am still seeking information on my great grandfather's line. His mother was CARRIE CARTER. It is possible that her maiden name was RODGERS. She was supposed to have lived to 108 years of age.

CHARLE RICHARD CARTER, her son, was born in Indiana sometime from 1858-1860. He was married to LIZZIE CAREY of Illinois and they had several children in Kansas, beginning in 1882, and several more after they relocated to Washington State's Yakima Valley, probably around 1890.

ENOLA G. (F, b. 1882 in Kansas)
CHARLEY C. (b. 1886, Kansas)
FLOYD M. (b. 1888, Kansas)
ANNIE M.(b. 1889/90, Washington)
MARY M.(later known as Lizzie or Lena, b. 1893, Washington)
FREDDIE V. (b. 1897, Washington)
FLORENCE (b. 1900, Washington)

Lizzie probably died between 1900 and 1905. Death records for Yakima County were lost in a fire in 1907, and cemetery records have not yet produced her grave. Charles remarried to ALICE ANNA RODGERS, originally of Columbus, Bartholemew County, IN. on Dec. 20, 1905 in Sunnyside, WA. They lived near Zillah or Toppennish, WA until their divorce in the mid to late 1920s. Charles lived on in the Zillah area, while Alice eventually lived in Seattle, then Grays Harbor County.

Children of the second marriage were:

PAUL (b. 1909)
RUTH ALICE (b. 1910)
CARRIE HOPE (b. 1912)
JAMES VIRGIL (b. 1914)

Charles probably died around 1936 in Skagit County, WA.

I am seeking any information or contacts with family on the Carter branch of the family. I would especially like information about Kansas and Indiana branches.
