Thanks Donna so much for your help - you answered alot of questions. I unfortunately have one more question. I was told by my father that he had a half brother. My father remembers a Prudential man coming to the house of my grandfather (John W. Blaney) asking him if he would like to continue a life insurance policy for this child.

My grandfather had told him he had not heard from him in years and in fact did not even know if he was still living. The Prudential agent informed my grandfather they would put a search on him and found that he had enlisted in the military and when was discharged was in Washington state and after that lost track.

I do not know if this possibly is a son of John W. Mobley or a son of my grandfather's. My father who was not one to keep secrets told me he had no knowledge of this half brother's name. I did know about Ema & John's twins and their daughter Marietta. Would it be possible for you to see if and when this John W. Mobley died and in what county and if perhaps Mobley & Ema had a child together or John Blaney & Ema any other children. This is the one reason I started working on my family tree 15 years ago is because of this boy....Could this be fact or fiction. Thanks again.
