Clara May Hiner was the daughter of James Freeman Hiner and his second wife, Huldah Morris. James Freeman (14 Oct. 1831-13 Aug. 1876) m. Huldah in Bartholomew Co. Indiana, 23 July 1858. Huldah's dates, 6 Feb. 1836-13 Apr. 1896. James was son of Judge Joseph Hiner (16 Nov. 1802-1870) who was born in Pennsylvania, died in Bartholomew Co. A detailed autobiography of Joseph Hiner is in possession of James R. Sewell, Jr., jsewell@edm.net.
