Deceased Name: ODELLA J. GARNETTE

ODELLA J. GARNETTE, 96, died Sunday at Kingston Care Center. Born in Dawn, Ohio, she was an office manager and store manager at Sigrist Furniture Store for 33 years. She then founded Lindella Draperies. She was one of the first women licensed by the state of Ohio to sell insurance. Her husband, Harry J., died in 1946. Surviving are two sons, Harry Jr. of Racine, Wis., and Charles of Fort Wayne; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Services at 10 a.m. Thursday at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave. Calling from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Graveside services at 2 p.m. Thursday at Beamsville Cemetery, Beamsville, Ohio. Memorials to the Sept. 11 Fund.

Odella J. Garnett, 96, of Fort Wayne, former office/store manager, died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2001, at Kingston Care Center.

The Dawn, Ohio, native worked for Sigrist Furniture Store for 33 years. She was owner of Lindella Draperies and one of the first women licensed by the state of Ohio to sell insurance. Surviving are sons Harry Jr. of Racine, Wis., and Charles of Fort Wayne; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry J. Services are 10 a.m. Thursday at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave., with calling from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Graveside services are 2 p.m. Thursday at Beamsville Cemetery, Beamsville, Ohio. Memorials are to the September 11th Fund.
