St. Vincent's Orphans Asylum Frances Wanita Wroughton
Posted by: Kathi Jenkins Trostad (ID *****7438) Date: February 19, 2007 at 20:55:34

This child was placed in the St Vincent's Orphans Asylum and she is listed as an inmate after her parents divorced. Her parents were Earle Einnis Wroughton and Madonna K. Rhodes. Madonna was his second wife. Frances went by the name Wanita. Her 2 brothers were sent to a boy's home. The 1920 census record for them is below hers.

WROUGHTON FRANCES W 5 F W IN IN ALLEN 9-WD; FORT WAYNE 1920

WROUGHTON EARL 7 M W IN IN TIPPECANOE FAIRFIELD TWP; ST JOSEPH ORPHA 1920
WROUGHTON JOHN 9 M W IN IN TIPPECANOE FAIRFIELD TWP; ST JOSEPH ORPHA 1920

My great grandmother was their great aunt and I do not believe the family knew what happened to these children. Would like info about this home. Thanks, Kathi
