Did you get your pictures from Nine Mile Cemetery? I saw your request
from GenForum but for some reason I can not do a reply to the post.
I am a descendant of James Smith. He and six of his children are buried in the cemetery starting in the 1850'sthrough 1868 when he was buried there. The family stone is in pieces so I am having it repaired and
reset.Once this is done I will be visiting the cemetery to take pictures of it so I could take pictures for you as well.It will be summer I would guess. What family are you from?
James Smith was one of the founding members of the church. My husband and I visited the church on it's 150th Anniversary. It was very interesting. They have a quilt made by the 1906 Ladies Aid Society hanging
in the fellowship hall.I took pictures of all the blocks. It is a crazy quilt block and on all the irregular pieces is the name of a member
of the church. Some day when I have time I am going to take this quilt on as a project and search and record all those families.I have already done some work on it.It is interesting to look at "who married whom"from the list.
If there is anything I can do for you,let me know.
Thanks,
Jan Smith
