LEPPER-AHLSCHWEDE mystery
Posted by: Delores kikuchi (ID *****3905) Date: October 04, 2004 at 14:10:41

Need help figuring out if G-G-Grandpa Heinrich Lepper was married to Friedericke Halsworthy or Friedericke Alschwede or both. Both women are listed in the 1850 census, Halsworthy being married to Heinrich at the time, one son, Ahlschwede living with her brother. Halsworthy name has been crossed off in the records and Ahlschwede written down. Ahlschwede apparently disappears from records after 1850. Death & second marriage, perhaps? St. Johannes & Imanuel, Soehst, Lutheran Churches. Evidently both Friederickes born abt 1822-5 in Germany.
