Thank you for this.I was not aware of the Barge office.
The father was Mike(about 60)and mother Anna(Bubrik)Polansky with five children Anna, John, Mary, George and Sofie. Their destination was northern Minnesota. I know the family arrived in MN during the winter, stayed until spring with either Mike's elder brother John who had arrived about 1880 or Mike's own eldest son Mike who had arrived about 1890.
I have no records that say they came through Ellis Island, only that "they arrived in New York city where the mother required medical attention, having been sick throughout the voyage".Further to that, I know that my grandmother Anna who was only about 15 became lost and separated from the family. She was left behind in NYC.
