Karen, Go to USGenWeb.org, then to the state and county where your ancestor lived. Most of the sites tell you how to order the naturalization records (there were three stages, so three different papers). If the county clerk does not have the records, the state archives will have them. Also, go to the census after your ancestor arrived. On the census is a line indicating if they A - Alien, P- Pending Naturalization, or N - Naturalized. If they are naturalized, it indicates the year they were naturalized. It will also indicate the year they arrived in the US. This can help you locate passenger lists. Hope that helps! Suzanne Notify Administrator about this message?
