Your best bet is to start with when and where he died. Sometimes obituaries and death records have the town. Also without knowing when he was born it would pretty hard for anyone to know which Antoine Andermatt you are referring to so even if they found one they would have no way of knowing if it is the one you're looking for. Just knowning which ship he arrived on doesn't help much at all.
