Ship 'Irishman" - Adelaide Sept, 1912
Hello,
A stab in the dark , but I hope that someone can lend some assistance.
I am chasing more information about the passengers of the "Irishman", that landed in Adelaide in the September of 1912.
I know from newspaper reports that there were several children who died upon arrival, and I can only assume that several died on the way also.
I am seeking information about a - Richard Albert Casson/Miller " who was 1 year old at the time.He was traveling with William and Nancy MILLER and their daughter Annie Irene.Under the Departure papers he is listed as a Albert MILLER.
I have been told that there is no death record in Adelaide for this boy, and nothing in Queensland, where I know William, Nancy and Annie moved to.Annie's Daughter recollects that her mother was always an only child, and while we have discovered that this Baby was not her biological brother, it appears that the family has taken guardianship of him.
To cut a long story short, can anyone access ship records that may advise if this Richard Albert Casson/Miller died on the journey to Australia from England???
I am starting to 'feel' that he got on the boat, but never got off.
Hoping someone can help
Ky-Lee
