Passports

I understand that passports are issued by home country, which leads me to asking.

My grandparents, and their parents immigrated to USA, entering in Boston. They all came from Kivijarvi Finland.
Since I don't understand, speak or write Finnish I am wondering who, where and how I would contact to see if it were possible to obtain copies of such passports?
Also I have a question, has anyone ever heard of 3 sibblings traveling to USA from Finland, or for that matter anywhere else on a single passport? Would photos be available. We are talking 1880's(late)thru 1900.

Basically same question for my Irish family
They came from Co Donegal, and County Cork, but not together. Time frame 1870's thru 1881.

If its possible I'd really like to obtain copies of at least some of these, and if possible photos as well.
Were Visa's also required Finland? Ireland?

Thank you

Mary
