I suspect that that's not the same Max Novick. I don't think my uncle ever lived in Boston, and in any case, the 1915 petition would seem to imply an older man. The original response by Bob stated that "Fruma" (my aunt Helen, who was married to the Max Novick I call my uncle) was 19 in 1921, thus born in 1901-02 (agreeing with the birthdate of Sept. 1, 1901 I have from other sources). I would assume that the Max Novick who petitioned for naturalization in 1915 was probably over 21 at the time, and thus born before 1894; and while it would not be impossible (my parents' ages differed by 7 years), the likelihood would be that he was not exactly 21 in 1915, so the difference would be greater.
Besides, the name "Max Novick" seems to have been fairly common. The cemetery where my parents and some aunts and uncles are buried shows one other Max Novick besides my uncle.
