In the 1850 Licking County, Newark, Ohio census (www.//rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/oh/licking/census/1850/0038b.gif), Frederic Imhoff is listed on line 35 as age 69, a native of Switzerland and a weaver by trade. His wife Hannah (who may have been either a first or second wife) is listed as age 65 and a native of Pennsylvania. Imhoff’s daughter Leah, her husband Richard Harrison and their family’s listing begins on line 24 of the same census page. Leah Imhoff and Richard Harrison (b. 1805 in Virginia), were married in Ohio in 1827. Leah Imhoff's death certificate lists her place of birth as Somseset, Pennsylvania. Through Leah Imhoff's daughter Amanda Ellen Harrison (Church), Leah Imhoff Harrison was my g/g/grandmother. I have no information - but wish I did - on the other children of Frederic Imhoff. In the 1860 Newark census only Hannah Imhoff is listed, hence it is reasonable to assume that Frederic Imhoff died between 1850 and 1860. I hope this information is helpful to you.
