Adolph Imfeld, Spanish War Veteran

Does anyone have any knowledge of Adolph Imfeld who died in Cincinnati, OH on Oct. 4, 1949 at age 71? His obituary says he was a native of Newport, KY but had lived in Cincinnati since his retirement from the Treasury Dept. in Washington in 1948. He was a Deputy Sheriff in Campbell Co, KY from 1910 to 1914 and again from 1918 to 1922. He served in the Philippines during the Spanish-American War. He was survived by his widow, Laura Karloff Imfeld, and "several" nieces and nephews. I am trying to determine if there is a link to the Imfelds I am researching. Does anyone know anything more about his family?
