Stephen: I have information on the family of Edmund Imes who died July 10, 1948 in Indiana. He was married to Sarah Elizabeth Dils. b Oct 7, 1869 in Indiana. They had 2 children:
1. Ruth L. Imes b. January 1897, d. Jan 1972 in Hammond, IN. Married to William Krahling. Had one child who died young at the age of 1 or 2.
2. Ward Richard Imes (b. Feb 1894 in Indiana; d. Feb 9, 1948 in Calumet City, IL. Married to Florence Cherrier Blanchard (b. June 12, 1897 in Austin, IL; d. April 16, 1968 in East Chicago, IN). They had 3 children:
1)Joan Elaine Imes (b. Nov 10, 1922 in Oak Park, IL; d. Sept 10, 1996 in Anchorage, AK). 3 living children.
2)Ward Richard Imes, Jr. (b. Mar 1924; died in May or June 1976 in Tennessee). 1 living child.
3)Edmund Imes (b. May 11, 1927, d. Mar 8, 2004 in Highland, Lake Co., IN). 5 living children.
The following information is added by my wife who remembers visiting the cemetary often as a child: the graves of Ward R. Imes and Florence Imes are located at the entrance of the cemetary off Route 6 up a very small hill to your left. Continuing up the road of the cemetary there was a large tree on the left of the road and the graves of the remainder of the family are all to the left of the road.
