For your information...Nina Mary Pontius was her maiden name...something no one knew until now. The family story is that her first husband, Louis Morehead (my great, great), was a neer-do-well who abandoned the family (the words "drunk," "gambler" and "womanizer" have been bandied about). Our understanding was that she actually got a divorce from the man back in the days when that just wasn't done.
That would be consistent with her going back to her maiden name.
Question: I may be confused but does it look like Louis Jr. may also be listed under Moreland?
