No hard data, I'm afraid, just a couple of anecdotes.My family sources (thru son Moses) mention some fine-blooded horses that they took "to Ohio and some to Iowa".Also, they say that Jesse let his slaves work out their freedom in about the 1830s.Also, that when Moses was a child, he had a slave (so Jesse was presumably the official owner) who he named Moses after himself.When white Moses misbehaved, black Moses would get the punishment.One day white Moses was discovered trying to scrub black Moses white.The story does sound a little pat, but that's the way it came down to me.
