Hi there! My great grandfather was named Jack Illsley he was from somewhere in Canada and he was adapted by the Lefler family. He then took on his adopted name Lefler. His son William Edward Lefler was born in 1922 so, I would assume that he was born around the turn of the century. I am not sure. My family has lived in the Detroit area for at least the last 80 years. Anyhow, do you know of any Jack Illsley from around that time who was adopted? Also, what is the national origin of the Illsley name? I have only recently discovered the former name of my great-grandfather, so I don't know much about the history of the family.
