I am doing some research on my Grandmother's, mothers side of the family (Ivy BARNETT), I have a book which i believe belonged to Ivy's mother (Emily BARNETT nee SELBY), in this book is alot of names which most i have connected together but there are alot of ILLSLEY names and i dont seem to be able at this stage to connect them.
The main surnames in this book are
ILLSLEY and HOLMES.
I have found some of the ILLSLEY'S in the 1881 British census, but i cannot add them to my family tree untill i find out where they fit in.
I am hoping somebody in the forum may be researching the same family and can help. I do feel that there is a connection somewhere, but with who.
