My geography is lacking. No longer sure of the whereabouts of Church Gresley and possible relevance to your search. However, I can trace my maternal grandfathers branch back to William Illsley born 1784 (no record of where).

The data comes from a stained glass window that he donated to Ripley Church, commemorating his three wives. I understand that he owned a butcher shop in Ripley market place.

His descendants still live in the area.

Cordially from Miami.
