Actually my work has been more directed toward Johann Paul’s (1725-1761) son Phillip (1752-1792) and his son Paul (1780-1756). This Phillip is from Paul’s second marriage to Catharina Blau.

Philip married two Schmeltzer women, the first Margaretha (I believe to be the daughter of Jacob Schmelzer) and the second Anna Maria, the daughter of Philip Schmelzer. It is interesting that Jacob Schmelzer is married to Margaretha Wacker (versus the Weicker). Wacker-Weicker could be the same!

I do not have records or knowledge of the children of Johan Paul’s first marriage, but I did find these four probable Illges children in Trinity records.

George Ihle married Elizabeth Frey October 14, 1759 – p.4
Elizabeth Illig married John Michael Weicker Schneider January 28, 1753 – p.1
Trinity Church records, Church Book 2, Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Catherine Ilger married Gotlieb Eberman May 14, 1780 – p.16
Johannes Illig married Catherine Stehl November 26, 1793 – p.37
Trinity Church records, Church Book 3, Lancaster, Pennsylvania
