My name is Mary Alice Illig DeFrancesco. My grandfather was Rudolph Illig and lived in Connecticut. He had four children, including one daughter. I have in my posession a alien registration card in the name of Chareles Otto Illig. He was my grandfathers brother. At the time he was living in Baltimore, Md. in 1918. His birthday was Dec. 24, 1863. He came from Rastadt, Germany. I also have some letters, written in old german script, which I have not been able to have translated.
My grandfather died in 1953, so I really don't have much family background and would like to learn any family history I can.
