Hi Valerie,
My father was Reynold A. Ilg from Lowell, MA and his father was Reynold V. Ilg also from Lowell. I am just starting to put it all together. I understand that there were 4 brothers who came over from Germany and went to Penn. They were engravers and one brother worked as an engraver I think for the mills here in Lowell. Then my grandfather worked in the brewery here in Lowell. I have more info but if you want to compare notes with me, I'd be happy to share what I find out.
