Looking for the family of Charles Otto and Sallie Elizabeth Illig. This German couple lived in VA in the 1930's and 1940's, neither could speak English very well. Mr. Illig died in the early 1940's and was about 75 years old. He was preceeded in death by Mrs. Illig some years earlier. My grandfather supplied them with a cottage and took care of them for years until their deaths. Although this couple had no children that I am aware of, Mr. Illig had a couple of nieces who lived in either NY or OH. If you are aware of this couple or even if just their names sound like they could be your Illig family names, please contact me.
