On one side of a tombstone in the cemetery at Wolsingham County Durham is the following
"Sacred to the memory of Eleanor Donaldson daughter of William Iley died 19 August1859 aged 70 years."
on the other side is
"Sacred to the memory of Mary wife of William Iley died
25.11.1769 aged 33
and
Catharine wife of William Iley died 24 July 1815 aged 64
and
William Iley died 28 October 1816 aged 77
and
William Gordon Millwright died 17 February 1839 age 72
and
Dorothy gordon wife of the above died 15 May 1839 aged 77
and
William Gordon son of the above died 19 August 1900 aged 79
and
Frances Gordon wife of the above died 1 January 1914
and
Margaret Jane their daughter died 2 January 1931 aged 73
years"
I would be pleased to recieve any information on the Iley family of Wolsingham
