Am working on a John Iles who married Frances Norsworthy around 1670. Was hung at Greenspring- Jamestown in 1677 in connection w/ bacon's rebellion. He left three children, John and two sisters. The son John shows up in Isle of Wight collecting taxes from the Quakers in 1701 and paying quit rents in Nansemond in 1704. I lost him with all the fires of records in Nansemond, however a John Iles appears in Halifax Cty, N. C. and purchased land in 1763. Am trying to connect the two. One record I have shows a John Iles marring an Elizabeth Wardley, however this is not confirmed. Could have been brother to Thomas. Any help Thanks
