A distant cousin provided the information that Jeremiah Iles was born 28 Oct. 1780 in Bitten, St. George Parish, Gloucester, England. His parents were Edmund Iles and Ann Bevan. Jeremiah was one of eight children.
Edmund's parents were Henry Iles and Ann Fudge.
