I am seeking ANY information about anyone with the surname of Ridder Ritter Lempster Limpster and/or Mennsen. I know that my great grandmother was born in Eureka Illinois in 1900 to Mathias and Anna Lempster Ridder. Mathias was born in Germany and came to America by way of Baltimore. I do not know at what age though. He married Anna Lempster in Seward Nebraska and moved BACK to Illinois after their marriage.
Their children were: Anna, Margaret, Johanna, Christian/Christopher and Martin
After my great grandmother died, my great grandfather married her cousin for companionship and her maiden name was Lempster and her married name was Mennsen. She had lived in Watseka and her first husband had been a farmer.
Any information would be wonderful.
