Hi Steve,
My name is Tara and I am the daughter of Terry (Violet "Sandy") Lake (Streator, IL), who is the son of the lates, John "Jack" (Elizabeth "Betty") Lake (Joliet, IL). I don't know very many of my relatives on the Lake side because my dad doesn't really associate with any of his family except for his brother Gary (Kimberly) Lake. Within the last 6 months I have met quite a few cousins, Aunts and Uncles on Facebook. It is very interesting hearing stories of my Gramma & Grampa Lake and meeting my relatives and their families. I met Art last year at a family reunion, which my Aunt Kim is trying to now have every year in Elwood, IL at the end of August. Would love to have you come out to meet us all. A cousin Ed on Facebook, I met another cousin George when he walked into the bar I was working at and told me I looked like his daughter Angie, I had always heard of this girl Angie Lake who looked like me and come to find out, we ARE related. Too funny and very sad, I live in Coal City, IL which is about 20 miles south of Joliet and I hang around in Joliet and have never met these people until just recently, I am 35 years old. I guess now is better than never. I don't have alot of time to look up info and family members online or thru genealogy.com but I am always interested in hearing things and keeping them until I do have the time or run into someone who is doing the research. I do know most of my family is from the Lockport/Joliet, IL area, alot of them are buried in the Woodlawn Cemetery and the family is BIG! I hope this finds you in good spirits and health.
