Hey Cousin Art!
George Lake was a brother of Clara Lake Jackson, my great-grandmother. They are 2 of the children of Elijah and Sara Rarick Lake.
I have loads of info on Elijah and Sarah, and the other kids, but have never been able to track George D. Lake before. I found a death record at the Illinois State Archives and have proceeded from there.
George was an "inmate" at the "Poor Farm" in the 1930 census, and died there in 1936.
