Joliet newspapers from 1846 to the present are available on microfilm at the Main Library.

John Whiteside, a columnist for the Herald News, researches and writes about Joliet History and might be able to tell you where to find information for earlier time periods. jwhiteside@scn1.com

Just a thought but it could be a "In Memoriam" piece.
