There is a BRUCE line of Wilkes Co, NC that migrated to Sumner Co, TN and then on to White and Gallatin Co, in Illinois.

One of the female Bruce married a Forrester.

Elizabeth Bruce b. Abt. 1770 m. Fielding Forrester b. June 10, 1769.
They married Nov 9, 1787 in Surry Co, NC. They had 3 sons:

John Forrester b. 1788
Jacob Forrester b. 1790
William Forrester b. 1792

Currently I have not found any information on their 3 sons.
