Family of William FORRISTER
Posted by: Daniel G. Webber (ID *****0113) Date: June 25, 2005 at 08:49:39

This family is listed in the 1820 census of White county. The name seems to interchange with FORRESTER, FOREST, FORIST and other vaiants.
Can anyone give me any information on this family? By 1830 there was a Mary FORRISTER (apparently a widow) living in Jefferson County, Missouri, Meramec Twp, which is ca 2 or 3 counties west of White County. Next to her was a William FORRISTER aged 20's. The index to U.S. Govt. Land Patents issued in Missouri indicates a William FORRESTER took land in the St. Louis land office area (which includes Jefferson county) in the early to mid 1820's. I believe this may be the White county family.
I am trying to connect this family to my MEDLEY family of Jefferson county, Missouri. All help is sincerely appreciated. Dan
