Matt: No problem, just wanted to clarify that the younger boy in the picture had to be my uncle, since he was the baby of the family. Yes, our computer has ZIP-DRIVE capability. My son, Jeremy, also has a CD burner, which eventually will come in handy for my little hobby.
You don't sound any different than I did when I first saw your responses to my postings on this forum. I've waited a very long time to actually find someone as closely related as we are. I have contact quite frequently with Floyd Hedges and Tom Hedges. But you're the closest I've come to anyone related through my grandfather's immediate family.
The family is definitely looking forward to the move to Florida at the end of the school year.
Oh, I hope you don't mind, but I've let Tom Hedges know that I've made contact with you. I'm not sure, but if I remember correctly, I believe he's tried to contact you as well. I kind of keep him posted on information you send me. And everything you've sent so far has been absolutely wonderful.
Dad asked me tonight if you'd mentioned anything about the Leasor family in any of your messages. (I'm not sure about the spelling, that's just the way my dad pronounced it.)
By the way, have you checked out any homepages on FamilyTreemaker? I have one there. It's the Hedges/Martin Homepage by Mary B. Smith. If you get a chance to check it out, go to the photos section. There's a couple of pictures there. One is of my dad and mom on their 45th wedding anniversary. The other one was taken in 1997. It's dad with the four of us girls. Let me know if there's a definite resemblence anywhere. Oh, one more thing. You asked in an earlier message about my faith. Yes, I'm a Christian. I've served as church organist at First Baptist in Mt. Olive for quite some time. Anyway, I'll let you go. Looking forward to hearing from you again soon. Mary.
