My mistake, I intended to type John Whitson and his wife Grace Rush, who were married in Cumberland Co, Ky 15 Feb 1807. John died 1 Dec 1844 in Jackson Co, Tn. In 1870, Grace is in Wayne Co, living with a dau and her husband.
The J Whitson of the 1850 census is Jonathan Whitson who married Parthenia Brown 23 August 1818 in Barren Co, Ky. The C is Canzada who was born 12 Jan 1832 in Ky. She married Thomas Jefferson Turney. Other children included Sarah, Elizabeth, and James Edward. I believe there were others. It is believed that Jonathan is a brother to John Whitson who married Grace Rush.
