Richard - I thank you very much for the information. I was just trying to determine just what caused his death. I would like to include it in the Campbell Genealogy I am assembling.
Since the battle for the area was over before he 83 volunteers arrived in the area I doubt he was killed in battle. Maybe since they were on occupation duty he might have been killed doing that or maybe he died of disease. Will just keep looking for the cause of his death. He is a great great uncle of mine.
