Looking Wilder, Topping or Woods in Warren Co. IL

I am desperately trying to knock down a brick wall. I am looking for Levi H. WILDER and any information regarding his life or death in Warren County, Illinois, in the Greenbush area. Levi is recorded in the 1840 Census in Warren County and he died on July 18, 1841. I beleive he was born between 1786 and 1790 in Saltash, Vermont but have no verification of that. I can find no record of his death or burial, other than a partial probate record regarding his death in St.Joseph, Indiana, which is fairly close by. I believe he may have been working at an Ironworks factory in St.Joseph. His second wife's name is Sarah and her maiden name may have been TOPPING. I believe she remarried a man named Loren WOODS after Levi died. Levi Wilder had 13 children: Chauncy, William, Lucy, Tamy, Levi W., Atwell, Harried, Elmina, Frank, Sepheny, Elmore, John and Almon W. His last son Almon W., was born in 1838 in Warren County (Greenbush). Any help regarding places to look for death or birth information around 1838 - 1841 would be great. I have checked many on line sources to no avail. Also, would anyone know of any newspaper sources for that time and area? Any help at all would be immensely appreciated. Thank you.
