Hello one and all, Will be uploading today another section of the 1903 Historical Encyclopedia of Illinois --- Warren today. some of the biographies are already online due to be contributed and typed by other people and am not going to at this time take them off. http://www.usgennet.org/usa/il/county/warren/---- Warren @ American History & Genealogy Project bigger site online longer. http://genealogytrails.com/ill/warren/----- Warren @ IL Trails Genealogy & History both sites now have their very own search engines so when searching you do not get duplicate pages of some information. On the Warren County, IL Genealogy Trails site have put up a bunch of new obituaries, and some contributed by Lola Luster, Sara Hemp, of Fulton, Co., IL Gene Trails, Ellison Cemetery listings are now online with the curtsey of Teresa Smith who typed them up, along with Roseville, Ratekin, and Jared. Don't know for sure if put the last two online at both places. Berwick Cemetery listings are now online too. I have tombstone photos from both cemeteries plus, need to go back to the Berwick and finish them up. Ellison I have many but not all. On my list of things to do. Keep myself quite busy here with all of this stuff. Have to find time to finish up my Terpening Armstrong book for our 70th Reunion this September anyone out there related to these people who came to help settle Kelly Township Terpening, Armstrong, Wallace, Whitman, the list goes on and on be sure to get a hold me. Thanks!!!! Online from the book is through with biographies in the townships histories to Greenbush Township which goes to page #917. Still have to format and link up page five with the biography names on the 1903 index on Page 5. But wanted to get these online as some of you who on this list have biographies of people in this book. I would if I could scan in the photos but cannot as I need a new printer and I will be getting one in the next couple of months. have a few new obituraires online at both places if I have uploaded them all it's been hectic around here lately at my home with my mom in the nursing home. She's dieing. Nothing more to be done for her. But I try not to think about it. Then our sheep have been having babies and I'm so tired of all the cold weather had a couple of good days but now it's been cold again here. Am planning or going to try to clean up the Horney Cemtery. Next Weekend a friend of mine whom we bought hay from all winter for our sheep is taking me to an abandoned cemetery and can't wait to see it. There has been talk that the old ColdBrook Savannah Cemetery might still be back off in the woods am going to try to find out more about it. The New or Lancaster Cemetery Kate and I need to go back we have permission from the person who owns it to go back around to it. want to film and see if anymore tombstones are available. Am looking into cemeteries in the Coldbrook area as alot of my family on the Whitman/Wallace are buried here. There was a Butler Cemetery and also ran across an obit of someone who was buried here but not mentioned in the listings I'm not even sure if the Cemetery still exists today. I'm hoping some small part of it might. Peter Butler was the one supposedly owned the ground before heading up his wagon Train to go to Oregon in 1851. There are two destinctly different Butler Families that were in the Warren Co area. Peter Butler being one who came from KY to Warren and then Isaac & John A. Butler who came from Ind. I think if remembering correctly and helped to settle in and establish Greenbush Twp and town along with the Simmons. Isaac and John were Twin brothers. Well, enough on all of that more to come at a later time. also Lola Luster has joined us in her quest for her family here is an email from her. Hi Foxy, Haven't made it back to Illinois and Greenbush Cemetery yet but that is a for sure thing this year. Snow is finally almost gone here in Wisconsin. On March 1st, we got 19 " with 9 more following at various snow falls. Ready for spring. I found a site and can't find it again where it told about your finding Parthena Luster's gravestone and there was a picture of Thomas Luster's stone. I was so excited when I saw it and was going to write you but couldn't find where I had stored your address. Is there a way that I can get a copy of the picture? Thomas's first wife, Julia Deborah, was also buried near him. Just wondered if her stone was found. Sure wish that I was close so that I could help in some of the cemeteries where they are searching for the stones. Somewhere in the Roseville Cemetery are the stones for George Washington Rayborn and his wife Mary (Minnie). Hope to find them also. Did Sherri (Krohn)Bradley from NM contact you? She, Carolyn Terpening and I were close buddies in high school. Sherri and I keep in touch by e-mail. Carolyn writes but I am not much good at answering. Just wanted to touch base with you. Lola Luster LaDawn and I are doing the Greenbush Cemetery and some photos are online. More later. Have a wonderful day as today is suppose to be much warmer and want to get outside for a bit to stretch my legs. Happy Gene Hunting everyone. Foxie Your host for Warren County, Illinois Genealogy.
