I have been there and could probably find it again on my own.

My best advice would be to stop at the library on the town square and ask directions. They have an excellent genealogy section.

I have Black relatives buried in STG. Both the Wrights and the Blacks lived nearby. The land descriptions are 11 N, 3 W and 11 N, 2 W. That is pretty much Greek to me since I grew up in Texas and all our land descriptions are based on natural features (meanders of a creek, or so far from a post oak marked with an ax, etc.)!

Do you have information on Joseph S. Turnbull? He married in 1851, Rebecca C. Black. They had sons, B. Frank and Gilbert M. Turnbull. Rebecca d in 1878 or earlier. B. Frank and Gilbert lived in DuPage Co, IL, in 1878.

Bill Wright
