While the families of siblings Jacob, Elizabeth, Margaret and Sebastian Seiler are well-documented, their relationship to cousins Henry, John and Frederick are not, nor is the relationship between Henry, John and Frederick.

Frederick Seiler born 7 Aug 1819 Germany, died 22 Apr 1907 IL, married Susan, born 6 Dec 1825, died 29 Aug 1912, both buried Rose Hill Cemetery, Mt. Carmel, Wabash County, IL. One daughter Louisa born c 1849 appears in the 1850 Wabash County census, near households of Jacob and Matilda Seiler and the older Frederick and Elizabeth Seiler.

William Seiler born 1 Nov 1806, died 3 Feb 1870, arrived in the US c. 1851, married Anna, 12 Nov 1833-20 March 1909, seven children including John and Peter, had land in Richland Co IL.

John Seiler born 3 April 1822 Hesse-Darmstadt, died 12 July 1909, buried Old Rose Hill Cemetery, Wabash County, IL, m Mary Mauck who d 1903 at Mt. Carmel; children George, James, Chris(tley), Catherine, Mary (Schrodt), William and Farley who d infancy, Margaret.

Unconfirmed: Clyde Stoltz told me that John and Frederick were cousins to the children of Frederick and Anna (Behm) Seiler and the families were never close.

Immigrant Frederick Seiler, brother to John, cousin to Henry, no dates, no wife; 1870 Wabash Co IL census with 8 in the family, children may include William H, Frank, Lilly, Sam and Sarah. CONFIRM.

Henry Seiler, immigrant, born 1815 Hesse Darmstadt, d 1876 IL, arrived New Orleans c. 1835, millwright in New Orleans for 8 years, to Wabash County, then back to New Orleans, back to Wabash County, IL and bought farm 2 miles W of Mt. Carmel. Wife Margaret d 1869. Children: Elizabeth, John F., Peter Jacob, Edward W., Louis, Bernard.
