What I believe is the Old Brooks Cemetery is actually located on Mt Hebron Road past Mt Hebron Church and cemetery. There are no signs and it is just off the road and up a small embankment. I drove by it earlier today and several of the surnames listed for the cemetery from genealogytrails.com match.
The easiest way to get there is to get off I-57 at exit 40 (Goreville Exit) and turn west (this would be right from the south bound exit ramp); stay on this road until you come to stop sign at N. Lick Creek Road; turn right at stop sign onto N. Lick Creek Road and go about a half-mile; turn left onto Mt. Hebron Church Road (Mt. Hebron Church Road is the first blacktop road on the left); travel on Mt. Hebron Church Road past the church and cemetery and continue on for about 2 1/2 miles total on Mt Hebron Road and the cemetery is on the left side of the road.
Note that Mt. Hebron Church Road turns from blacktop to gravel a couple or three times before you come to the cemetery. I also noted that the last road sign I pasted before the cemetery was for Wayside Ln (2420 E, I think).
Hope this helps.
