I found this obituary in a Jewell County, Kansas newspaper. She is buried in the Wallace Cemetery, located east of Jewell City, KS. I am not related to this family so have no further knowledge of them.
PRISCILLA SERF HIVELY
Priscilla Serf Hively was born at Rockrun, Stephenson county, Illinois, on Jan. 16, 1856, and died at Jewell, Kansas on Feb. 23, 1929.
She was united in marriage with William Hively Dec. 2, 1881. One child was born to them but died when one year and nine months of age.
Mrs. Hively joined the church in Illinois and the Evangelical church in Jewell. For many years she was an active worker in the various departments, until bodily ailments made it impossible for her to no longer attend.
Wherever help was needed, she was among the first to be found there. Her cheerfulness and appreciation made her many friends.
Besides her husband she leaves two sisters, five nephews and one niece.
The funeral service was held at the Evangelical church on Sunday afternoon at 2:30. The pastor, Rev. E. I. Schuerman, had charge.
According to her husbands obituary, they were married at Davis, IL and then they moved to Jewell County, KS in 1883.
