Thank you so much for helping me! I have a 1874-1974 Stewardson, Ill. booklet.Do you have one?
The reason that I think Eliza Jane Wilson died around 1870 when William Edward Reynolds was born is because when he died his wife was the informant of his death certificate. She knew his father was Charles Reynolds, but she didn't know his Mother's name.
Can you tell me who William Edward Reynolds was living with in 1880?
Eliza Jane Wilson married Charles Reynolds in 1860.He was a farmhand in 1860.Do you have the 1860 Census for Eliza Jane Wilson?
I don't know where Charles Reynolds was after 1870,but in 1897 he was in Washington County and went into a Soldiers and Sailor's Home.I am not for sure this is my Charles Reynolds but I sent off for his papers. He was in the Civil War and I do have some of those papers. He was given a disability discharge. They say he was at the Soldiers and Sailors Home until 1910.I don't really think he lived that long.
The disease I'm looking for is called Friedreich's Ataxia.Any help is appreciated.
Susie
