This may sound more bizzare that it is and I may have a far out venture... but must look at it. This following obit is the major contributor to the puzzel. August 9 1888 Location: Rushville Description: Deaths of Cora Fey and Mary Hinton states the following: Orbit for Mary Hinton Died, in Neosho, Mo., on Sunday night, July 29, 1888, MRS. MARY A. HINTON, aged 62 years, 5 months and 6 days, mother of CIRCUIT CLERK HINTON. MRS. HINTON came to Neosho in Feb., 1887 and had lived in her own home on South Jefferson street up to the time of her sudden death, which was caused by heart disease. She came from Rushville, Ill., where she was a member of the South Methodist church. She leaves three children- two sons and a daughter-and one sister, MRS. FARRINGTON, living in Nebraska. REV. J.D. WOOD conducted the funeral services Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock.- NEOSHO TIMES. From a census in 1870 the following listing was made: CENSUS YR: 1870 TERRITORY:IL COUNTY:SCHUYLER DIVISION: RUSHVILLE CITY REEL NO: M593-276 PAGE NO: 189B HINTON MARY 43 F W HOUSE KEEPING IND HINTON WILLIAM 15 M W TEAMSTER ILL HINTON SARAH F 12 F W ILL My quest is for info on Mrs. Farrington which is in my lineage. Am trying to figure out what Mary's maiden name was, was it Taylor which would fit into place. There is a possiblity that neither females are part of my family. Mariah Taylor had at least 2 sisters, Mary Polly and Rachael, and 2 brothers, Jacob and Isaac Jr. No information of the family except that Mariah married Banqhardt DeWitt in the Dearborn County area of Indiana in 1834. Mariah was married a second time to Wm Farrington about 1855. Any info on any of the above persons, please contact me at elh754@prodigy.net Notify Administrator about this message?
