Barb, I looked at the Sangamon County ILGENWEB - then near bottom of page is listed the 'histories'.
Index & Bio's from 1876 history
Connected by marriage 1876 Early Settlers
Early Arrivals 1876
Index & Bios - Historical Encyloped. of Ill. History of Sangamon Co. 1912 - there are 3 Crowders but not Philip.
The copy I have was from Early Settlers of Sangamon Co. -1876 and notice some of the dates are different from the one listed now.
Also have one titled Revolutionary War Soldier and can't find where I found this!!I am bad about listing 'source'!If you would like, I can scan and send you copies of what I have or make copies and mail to you, which might be better. As I said, I haven't much but what I have you are more than welcome to.Email me personally.
What line (name) are you descended from?As I said, my line is Seth Underwood who married Sarah J. Crowder, dau. of Horatio, s/o Philip and Sally (Sarah) Chandler.
Send me your address and I'll get these out ASAP.I don't suppose you have anything on the Underwood side prior to Seth?
