The 1840 Sangamon census shows Hiram Purse. On the same page is Holland Purse, who is actually Hollom Pierce (1811-1859), and his father Eliphalet (Purse) Pierce (1782-1845) is on the previous page. I believe this Hiram may be a son of Eliphalet and brother of Hollom. Does anyone have any information on this Hiram Purse/Pierce??
