Sangamon families that may info about ancestors are Ball, Brawner, Young, Pulliam, Shoup, Peddicord, Lawley, Ray, Drennan, Clay, and Knotts.
I am looking for more Ray and Lawley family members. I have a Davis W. Lawley married to Mary Ann Ray in March 26,1866 in Sangamon County, Illinois. They are found in various census living in Cotton Hill, Sangamon, IL, till 1920 when they are in their late ages. They are 87 and 76 repectively, living with there son Hardee Lawley. I am a descendant of "Lizzie" Mary E.(Lawley) Knotts born in 1867 and married in 1881 to Henry Knotts who was the son of Thomas Knotts(jr/ Japh)"Tom and Betsy".

Eva Lawley 9 b. about1871
Norah Lawley 8 b. about1872
Hardee Lawley 5 b. about1875

Charles A. 18 b. about 1882
I also would like more info about Thomas Knotts and wife Ella Young from VA,and their son Japh Thomas Knotts married to Elizabeth Brawner. If you share these ancestors please respond. I would like to find Thomas Sr. parents in VA.
I would like to talk to anyone with these folks in their families. They all moved around somewhat together.Thank you.
