Sorry, I posted to soon on Reubens obit. I found it in a differant section of the JR.
CHATHAM - Reuben F. Alberts, 77, of Chatham died Friday, Feb. 11, 2000, at Westabbe.
He was born May 1, 1922, in Synder, Neb., the son of Otto P. and Carolin Schwanke Alberts. He married Gerda Steffens in 1952 in Lyons, Neb.; she preceded him in death in 1995.
Mr. Alberts retired in 1992 from Sunoco Service Center. He was also a self-employed farmer for many years. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Chatham and was also a foster parent.
Survivors: a son, Merlin R. (wife, Lesa) Alberts of Mechanicsburg; a daughter, Millie (husband, Larry) French of Louisville, Ky.; two grandchildren; and two nephews.
Services: 11 a.m. Monday, Bisch Funeral Home West, the Rev. Larry Hanson officiating. Burial: Chatham Cemetery.
